These Terms govern your use of Merid, a personal quality-of-life assistant operated by Salomão Junior. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to what is written here. If you disagree with any part of it, do not use the service.
Merid is not a medical service. It does not diagnose, prescribe, treat, or replace a consultation, test, or guidance from a physician, dietitian, trainer, or any other health professional. No information in the app should be used to start, stop, or change any treatment, medication, supplement, or diet.
What Merid does is record what you enter and describe what shows up in those records — averages, series over time, co-occurrences across modules, and markers outside the reference range printed on your own lab report. Describing is not concluding causation. When something falls outside what is expected, the correct response from the app is to suggest you take it to a professional, and that is what it does.
In case of an emergency, a severe symptom, or a sudden worsening, seek medical care immediately. Do not use the app for that.
The service is intended for people aged 18 or older. By creating an account you confirm you meet that age and that the information you provide is yours and accurate.
Your account is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for what happens in it and for the security of the email address and the Google or Apple accounts used to sign in. If you suspect unauthorized access, tell us at the contact address below.
The records you enter are what the recommendations are built on. Incorrect data produces an incorrect reading — the quality of the output depends on the quality of the input.
Free: manual logging of sleep, water, weight and profile, plus 5 AI analyses per day. Free, no card required.
Basic: everything in Free, plus Food, Workout and Cardio with AI, Insights and Suggestions. 50 AI analyses per day.
Pro: everything in Basic, plus Blood work, Medications and CGM. 100 AI analyses per day.
Daily analysis limits exist to keep AI cost predictable and are applied per account, per day. Reaching the limit does not block manual logging of your data — only that day's AI analyses. We may adjust limits and what each plan includes; any change that reduces what your plan delivers is announced in advance.
Basic and Pro are recurring subscriptions billed monthly or annually, according to what you choose at sign-up. Payment is processed by Stripe — Merid neither receives nor stores your card details.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, until you cancel. You cancel it yourself on the Settings page, with no need to contact support.
Right of withdrawal: because this is a distance contract, you may withdraw within 7 calendar days of signing up and get a full refund, under article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code. Just cancel within that window and let us know at the contact address below.
Outside the withdrawal window, cancelling ends the next renewal and your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for — there is no partial refund for the period in progress. When it ends, the account returns to the Free plan: your data stays, and the modules exclusive to the paid plan stop being accessible.
If a charge fails, access to the paid plan may be suspended until payment is resolved. Prices and plan contents may change; a price change never applies to a period already paid for and is communicated before it takes effect for the next renewal, at which point you may cancel at no cost.
You agree not to use Merid for unlawful purposes, not to circumvent usage limits or access controls, not to access anyone else's data, not to automate calls outside the app interface, and not to resell or redistribute the service.
Do not enter another person's health data without their knowledge and consent. The app is built for tracking your own.
The content you record — text, photos, lab reports, measurements — remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and process that content and to send it to AI providers in order to produce the answers you asked for. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train models.
A full account of what is collected, where it goes, how long it is kept and how to delete everything is in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Analyses are generated by third-party AI models and may contain errors, omissions or inaccuracies, including in calorie and macronutrient estimates and in readings of lab reports. Verify anything material before acting on it.
An estimate derived from a photo or from text is an approximation, not a measurement. A number measured by a device and a number estimated by the AI are different things, and the app flags the provenance wherever the two appear side by side.
Merid is provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability: the service depends on infrastructure and third-party AI providers, which may fail, change pricing, change limits, or be discontinued.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. Discontinuation of the service as a whole is announced with reasonable notice and with time for you to export or delete your data.
The Merid name, the brand, the interface, the code and the app's texts belong to the operator of the service. These Terms transfer none of those rights to you, and a subscription grants only the right to use the app while it is active.
You may close your account at any time from the Privacy page, and deletion removes your data as described there.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, attempt to circumvent usage limits, or put the service or other users at risk. Where there is an active subscription and no serious violation, we refund the unused portion.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss arising from use of the app, nor for any health decision made on the basis of the information it displays — the clinical decision is yours and your professional's.
Nothing in these Terms waives rights that Brazilian consumer law grants you on a non-waivable basis.
These Terms may be updated. A material change is announced in the app or by email before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page marks the version in force. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting the new version; if you do not accept it, you may cancel and close your account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of the consumer's domicile are elected to settle any dispute, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Code.
